The "Drinking From A Firehose" Problem
At the moment, only the truly dedicated (or bored, or crazy) are reading all the PRs as they come in. This because it's like drinking from a firehose.
How can we connect interested volunteers with problems they are interested in working on?
- The weekly 'list of all PRs' email does not work.
- The weekly 'list of PRs classified by tag' email does not seem to work, either.
- The weekly reminder-email that committers get once someone has assigned a PR to them don't seem to work, either.
- I don't know if a "new PRs this week sorted by tag" email would help, but I can create one as an experiment.
Note: I don't have a canned solution for this problem. That's why I need your help.
