Hello,

March 10th is when Google Summer of Code starts. The event is sponsored by
Google and is meant to promote and popularize free software as well as
computer engineering and Internet education.

Our software project -- FreeBSD -- was officially accepted by Google for
this year's event. We are looking for students interested in participating.
The best of which after 12 weeks can receive up to 5500USD.

We care about representation of American universities in this event.
We care about representation of African universities in this event.

It would greatly help us if:

- this letter gets sent to students and interest groups of
computer, electronics, telecomunication, and information science studies.

- this poster is printed (attached) and hung in a visible place:

        http://people.freebsd.org/~wkoszek/gsoc/freebsd_gsoc_2014_en.pdf

Rules are simple:

- Students submit idea proposals to Google. Examples of ideas which the
  FreeBSD Project is mentoring:

          https://wiki.freebsd.org/SummerOfCode2014

- Google chooses the best ideas

- Project FreeBSD and its mentors will lend a hand, helping students to
  accomplish their 12-week project

- Students who accomplish their project get compensated 5500(USD). The
best students have a chance to visit Google's HQ in Silicon Valley.

FreeBSD mentors are voluteers.

We'd be grateful for your help.

Regards,

Wojciech Koszek
