Welcome to Will Andrews' FreeBSD.org home. I've been working on FreeBSD
since 1999. A major project I started and led for several years is
KDE/FreeBSD, in July 2000. I
became a FreeBSD developer on March 20, 2000. A while later, I became a
founding member of the Ports Manager Team (portmgr). I have mentored 12 other
FreeBSD ports committers, including one who served on portmgr. I have also
been a minor KDE developer (handle will@kde.org) since September 12, 2001,
although my involvement has been limited to occasional FreeBSD-related fixes.
I left portmgr on November 29, 2004, to focus on the kernel and some other
interests. I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in
Computer Engineering degree on December 19, 2004. Ever since, I've been working
a day job, and it has sucked most of my time. I eventually resigned my ports
commit bit on September 1, 2006, but retain my src commit bit.
Obviously, this is not my real homepage. I keep all my actual work
here.
My current projects include (in no particular order):
