      comment: Ben: Very soon after starting this mix, we hit a brick wall and quit. A few weeks later, Drew decided that what we had was good enough to finish up, and I (reluctantly) agreed. I'm glad I did, because what we ended up with here is pretty damn neat. I think the combination of electro/chiptune elements and gratuitous in-game sound effects all add up to a remix that pays tribute to "old school" OCR quite well. Hope you love it!

halc: I've always found it a little confusing as to why there are so few Yoshi's Island mixes on the site - the soundtrack is brilliant, and this theme in particular is definitely a favorite, so I'm glad we were able to give it some love. As Ben mentioned, finishing this one up was a bit of an uphill battle compared to our other collaborations (which for the most part have gone quite smoothly), but I love the way it came together; it's a chronicle of Yoshi and Baby Mario's perilous journey through Baby Bowser's fortress... and the Boos are out for blood.
