1.1 Supported Operating Systems

Although isdn4bsd is available for FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD and BSD/OS, only isdn4bsd running under FreeBSD is described here. Anyway, the description given here should apply with only minor differences to the other supported operating systems.

NOTE:

This paper describes isdn4bsd version 1.00.1 which is available in FreeBSD 4.4 and 5.0-current. In case you want isdn4bsd run earlier versions of FreeBSD 4.x-stable, you have to overinstall it using the overinstall kit found in http://www.freebsd-support.de/i4b/addons/i4b-co2stable-kit.tar.gz. In the following paper, references to FreeBSD 4.x describe the configuration and functionality of isdn4bsd 1.00.1 on FreeBSD 4.4 and later FreeBSD 5.0-current or isdn4bsd overinstalled on FreeBSD 4.x-stable and NOT the configuration and functionality of the isdn4bsd version coming with FreeBSD 4.3 and earlier.
