ABOUT E-Chronometer:

Hi! I'm very pleased to announce to the world the release
of my very first Epplet (and Linux/X program by the way...) called
E-Chronometer.

What is it? It's a simple Chronometer epplet that you can
run in order to measure how much time does a task takes you or
a process takes to be finished.

You'll have to operate the E-Chronometer by hand to start,
stop, pause, resume and reset the counter.

By the way.. What's an Epplet after all? Oh! I forgot to
tell you in case you didn't know... It's Enlightenment's equivalent
to WindowMaker's wm dock apps...

Still confused? Let's see... Uhm.. Ok, Enlightenment is a pretty
cool WINDOWMANAGER so it has lots of features and has tons of
THEMES.. Ethemes provide functionality and LOOK to Enlightenment
and the Epplets, which are little companion programs to E, take
images from the themes to render their GUIs.

That simply means that the epplets will have the same look as the
whole windowmanager thing! Cool eh?

Epplets are a feature supported by themes made for the 0.16.x
versions of the Enlightenment windowmanager.

To learn more about E visit: http://www.enlightenment.org/
For lots of Ethemes visit: http://e.themes.org/

For the latest epplets go:

ftp://ftp.enlightenment.org/pub/enlightenment/epplets

This links should help you learn a lot about E but using it
instead of another WM under X will teach you ALL! :)

Back to my epplet.. you'll perhaps see my code isn't that
great.. I once programmed C under crappy DOS and had never
written graphical apps other than with RAD tools for Windoze.

This Epplets API is so nice and wonderful to start to code
for X that it's helping me lots re-learning to program in C
and learning to program under Linux with all the cool system
calls and stuff... I'm very happy...

Raster wanted a VERY EASY API for Epplets to grow and multiply
and I think HE DID IT! Nice work...

...I also wanna the thank my themers friends hallvar and
archon whose work on ethemes is always a source of enlightened
inspiration :)

Bye.

Antonio
