Hello FreeBSD world, I am pleased to join the project as a ports committer and would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Frederic Culot, almost 34, married, French settled in Luxembourg. I own a PhD in Physics and have been working in the IT industry for about 6 years as a C developer and project manager. I enjoy coding during my spare time and am the author of deskutils/calcurse, games/oldrunner and devel/htable. I am also interested in business and I follow an MBA at the Open University (distance-learning program) when I am not at work. More boring details about me can be found here: http://culot.org/english/resume.html. Now why FreeBSD? Well I was a longtime OpenBSD user until I worked in the same company as clement@ (former portmgr) who put me on the right track ;) I love the system and find it fun to work on the ports tree. But what I prefer is the community around FreeBSD: I had a chance to get in touch with great guys on irc and spent quite some time discussing with them. I would like to thank here jadawin@, tabthorpe@, bapt@, gahr@ and cognet@ for their warm welcome to the FreeBSD world. Talking about great guys, sahil@ and wen@ will be my mentors and I am very grateful to them for accepting this task. I will do my best not to make them regret this decision. Again, thanks to all for letting me join in! Frederic P.S.: This week I started a new job so it will be hard for me to work much on FreeBSD during the next couple of weeks but I will try to do my best...
