Just EXPERIENCE it and you too can become an HDTV snob. I have over 200 cable channels and just 10 are in HD. It's incredible. I watch nature specials now. Why? Because it's FREAKING better than going outside. Serious. it's incredible. I think I've actually developed a pollen allergy from the REALNESS. I just watched a badger chasing a rabit. The rabit got AWAY. Then the rabit was gotten by a red tailed hawk. The picture was just so real... I cried. I even watch the Bruins lose hockey games now because it's BETTER THAN BEING THERE!!!1!1! This one time, this guy took a slapshot and I jumped OVER my couch because it was so REAL. Just a few nights ago I watched a hockey fight and I GOT A BLACK EYE just from watching it! Another day, I watched tennis. TENNIS! I don't like that sport but watching it was just MESMERIZING. You have never experienced pong like that! Hockey, tennis, and footbal (or American football for those of us of a foriegn persuassion) aren't the only sports in HD. Have you seen The Worlds Strongest Man... IN HD! I watched Magnus Samolderverluffenufulupugus (I may have spelled his name wrong, it had some letters not on my keyboard) in the "Throw A Yugo Over A Wall" event. I counted 17 different VEINS POPPING OUT OF HIS FOREHEAD during the lift stage of the throw. According the commentator (who has bad hair plugs... You can see them!) that is the most strenuous phase of the throw. HDTV also brings with it new games. My favorite is "Better or worse looking in HD". http://www.tvpredictions.com/fall2005hd092605.html Typically I play his during late night talk shoes. Heather Graham was on one night... And I never noticed it but she was this HUGE vein in her chest. It FREAKED me out! I couldn't stop starring at it. I don't know what she and David Letterman (his face looks like that balled up shirt you find on the floor... And then beat up... with MALICE!) Needless to say, I no longer wish to SLEEP with her. Other observations include: - That is not hair on top of Donald Trump. IT'S A DEAD BADGER PEOPLE! - Teri Hatcher will be playing Skelator in the new He-Man movie. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0427340/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnx0dD0xfGZiPXV8cG49MHxrdz0xfHE9aGUtbWFufGZ0PTF8bXg9MjB8bG09NTAwfGNvPTF8aHRtbD0xfG5tPTE_;fc=3;ft=24;fm=1) - Angelina Jolie's lips have a small planet circling them. - Rebecca Romijin (STAMOS!11!!) is really 80 years old... and a man. Anyways I must go now because 24 is about to start and I will watch it IN HD on MY HUGE tv. In HD... You can actually see three episodes AHEAD the picture is that clear! By the way, welcome Rick Springfield... I mean Rink Springer. (I can't be the only person who thought at first the guy that wants Jesse's girl just joined. Am I?) > So, HD or not, well, does not matter too much. > On the Intel mac mini, I'm waiting for them to buy one, yes :-) Tom -- | tmclaugh at sdf.lonestar.org tmclaugh at FreeBSD.org | | FreeBSD http://www.FreeBSD.org | | BSD# http://www.mono-project.com/Mono:FreeBSD | -- This mail is for the internal use of the FreeBSD project committers, and as such is private.
