Comments About The Dependency Graphs

For amusement value, here are some illustrations of why the graphviz-generated dependency graphs are useless.

We earlier saw on the i386-8 HTML table that some Python packages were being skipped. Here is that subgraph.

If we look at amd64, we see that the FreePascal compiler (lang/fpc) is having problems. Here is that subgraph (scaled for visibility).

Now, consider that each of those is a subgraph of the complete i386-8 failure dependencies. This is heavily scaled for visilibity.

And now, just to scare you, here are the complete sparc64-7 failure dependencies, including such things as the lack of Linux ABI support, scaled nearly to the point of incomprehension.
