Since we cannot directly grasp the state of the entire hierarchy, let's consider restricting ourselves to the problem packages:
Packages that fail due to build errors
Packages that are marked as IGNORE for one reason or another:
- legal restrictions
- marked BROKEN
- marked IGNORE for some special reason
And, all the packages that depend on any of the above
