For this UNIX workstation manufacturing firm:

• Responsible for supporting X11 releases 3, 4 and (recently) 5 across the entire range of the PCS line of 68020, R3000 and i860 based workstations.

• Designed and developed new X11 based utilities, several of which are now on the Free Software Foundation release tape + MIT's X11R5 contributed software collection. These included:

• The xgdb windowing debugger.
• The AWL widget programming language
• The xinfo hypertext documentation browsing widget.
• As part of a four man team, designed and co-wrote the EMU terminal emulator package, released on the X11R5 contrib tape and under active development as a potential replacement for xterm.

Much of my work at PCS focused on developing new programmer productivity tools for developers of X based applications as well as adding X development environments to new operating system platforms such as SYSV.4 and MACH 3.0.
