Freenode Cloaks
The following cloak forms are available:
FreeBSD
- freebsd/user/{nickserv acct}
- freebsd/lover/{nickserv acct}
- freebsd/contributor/{nickserv acct}
- freebsd/hacker/{nickserv acct}
- freebsd/developer/{nickserv acct, freefall acct}
- freebsd/op/{nickserv acct, freefall acct}
To obtain one, a FreeBSD committer (someone with a @freebsd.org email) must email me with your nickserv account and your reason for obtaining a cloak.
PC-BSD
- pcbsd/user/{nickserv acct}
- pcbsd/lover/{nickserv acct}
- pcbsd/contributor/{nickserv acct}
- pcbsd/hacker/{nickserv acct}
- pcbsd/developer/{nickserv acct, pcbsd email}
- pcbsd/op/{nickserv acct, pcbsd email}
To obtain one, a PCBSD committer (someone with a @pcbsd.org email) must email me with your nickserv account and your reason for obtaining a cloak.
Mixed cloaks
If you would like to show your affiliation for both projects
you may request a dual cloak. It is of the form:
- freebsd/role/pcbsd.{nickserv acct,
freebsd acct, pcbsd email}
Note that roles are not available for the second
part of a mixed cloak.
Only one email is required (either a freebsd or a pcbsd
developer is okay)
Everyone
If you want a user or lover cloak you must demonstrate activity in the
channel and must not abuse the cloak (by evading bans, trolling users,
etc)
If you want a contributor or hacker cloak you must either maintain a port
or have submitted patches to the project. This is in addition to the
above requirements for a "user" cloak.
op and developer cloaks are restricted to those
who already wear one of those hats.
Please do not mail or private message random developers in order to obtain
a cloak. Politely asking once in the channel is okay though.
These conditions are subject to change at any time and are at my
discretion.
Cloaks may be withdrawn if you abuse them or otherwise bring a negative
image to the project.
